Bloodlines

The blood of the kindred carries more than just the the energy that animates their dead corpses. Potent blood carries more than links to clan. The bloodlines are variations on the clan blood initiated by a particularly potent sire. Those of the blood are typically the childer of such a sire, sharing a family discipline as well as a particular curse or weakness unique to their blood.
Because any vampire with sufficiently potent blood can start a new bloodline, the number of kindred bloodlines in the world resists any attempts to catalog them all.
