I just finished laying out a short PDF inspired by my favourite 1e AD&D artifact, the Teeth of Dahlver-Nar. In 1e, they were the teeth of an ancient priest who had been granted massive powers by his divine sponsors. The teeth had to be imserted into the mouth where they grafted themselves to replace the wielder's missing teeth. In 2e, the teeth became the teeth of a red dragon that had to be stuck in the ground in order to trigger their powers, and the powers were very different than the old-school menu-selection powers of the 1e DMG. The Teeth of the Ur-Lich are back to the them of the old teeth of Dahlver-Nar. I realy enjoyed writing up descriptions of the teeth, and tying them into plot and adventure ideas along with descriptions of where they are now. Expect to see this PDF at the ENWorld Game Store and RPGnow within the next few days. | ![]() |
