This is a very interesting early automatic pistol. The M12 (Steyr-Hahn Model 1912) automatic was adopted by the Austro-Hungarian army in 1912 and has an 8-round internal magazine that is reloaded by stripper-clip instead of the now-standard removable magazines. It is chambered in a proprietary 9mm round, the 9 x 23 mm Steyr. Many of these automatics were raided from armories by German forces in World War II and converted to fire 9mm Parabellum.

Sold for a song on the used-guns markets; ammo can be made by reducing the rim on 38 Super cases, and thin the case mouth, then use 9mm standard bullets and 38 Super loads. Easily controllable, and fun to shoot. Best part is the disassembly, and the turning-barrel lockup.
Good for show-and-tell in the range every time I bring it in.
I wonder if you can send me more photos of your pistol? Thanks:Branko
but i see if it jams theres no way to take it apart or fix it so its not really a good gun so holla back at me
i have a gun steyr m-12, and i dont know anything about him.
someone told me that my gun is made at 1908 year.
i would like to know what is his price.
thanks.
I own an M1912 dated 1916..Austrian Army Issue SN# 4214n
All parts are stamped with the same SN# and the small “k” and large “S”. The “w.n..16″ is above the trigger gaurd too. I belive the weapon to be all orginal. I have never fired it but I have downloaded a parts listing. The list I have combines the M1911 and the M1912. I am missing the “wedge” in the front barrel that fits between the “recoil spring retainer” and the “recoil spring”. The spring seems to be missing the “recoil spring end caps” also.. I want to know if this is just because the parts listing is a combined list or I am in fact missing parts. The pistol seems to function fine and has good action. I do want it to be compleate so if you can let me know, am I missing parts?
I wonder if you can send me more photos of your pistol? Thanks
