Welcome to the Future of Firearms
January, 2k8
Just launched a new subsite of the BlackHammer Project based on the success of the GunPorn Photoblog. The Future Firearms Archive is a blog that details guns of the future for a variety of near-future and modern RPGs. We'll have a new gun on that site every week, statted up for at least four RPGs (maybe more as we add new systems to the repretoire). Drop on by and check it out!

Guns & Life in Night City 203X

December 2k7

I've been busily updating a few other game sites I run (my RISK 2210 and Lacuna Part 1 pages mostly), but for those of you who come to dig around the BlackHammer Firearms Archives, you can also check out my suddenly very popular "GunPorn" photoblog . I'm also looking for people who will stat out all the guns on the GunPorn site for a variety of RPGs to make the site more useful to gamers in addition to gun geeks. However, all this time working on my other pursuits doesn't mean I've abandonned the Project. We've been playing our "Millenial" CP2020 campaign and detailing the games over on the CyberWiki , and I've got an article written by Mr Michael Wolf on "everyon else" living in Night City 203X (the non al.cults, non-corporate, non-gang masses).

Generators and Games

June 20, 2k7

Niko has developed an awesome set of CyberPunk 2020 Generators in Excel. We have all five on their own page for you to download including a vehicle generator, hit location generators and a program generator for the netrunners. And our own BlackHammer Millennial Campaign has been running strong, now seven sessions into the campaign. We've finished the fourth corporate war now, and are forging ahead in an all-new BlackHammer timeline. You can read about the campaign at the BlackHammer Cyberwiki.

Update Your Brain

April 5, 2k7

Minor update this week, choombas. Put up a sweet flash animator to go through the old "splash graphics" of the original BlackHammer Project on the front page. Yeah, it's just cosmetic, but I wanted all five graphics back instead of just the two I was using - and the site wasn't letting me use the old javascript to shuffle a different one each time the page loaded. For actual updates, we added an a whole new chunk of cybernetics updates: Neurological Rebuilding .

Toys Update

March 23, 2k7

We've changed the backend of the site a bit this time around - adding a page that lists all the articles on the site in chronological order (making it easy to see what's new, and what's newish). You can get to it from the front page, it's the subpage of MAIN called All Articles . And to make that page easier to read, we've started adding section icons to the various articles, so you can tell what section it is from. Not all the sections are done, but we're getting there. Aside from that - it's primarily a tech update this week. We've got a new set of wheels, the Marakovka Edgerider , and some new firearms from Olin and Polis , and we updated the Four Rivers SG page with another of the guns they use for their security forces. We've also brought over an article from the defunct BlackHammer3 site, with simplified skillsets for CP3 and CP2020 instead of the 100+ skills in both games.

Dead Punk Update

March 15, 2k7

Seven new articles / items this week, in our latest update. We start out with an old classic from the Project - the Morgue - a place for you to talk about the deaths of PCs and NPCs alike. And will all these dead characters, we'll need some character sheets - so I brought back my remake of the Classic CP2020 Character Sheet , as well as a new and hipper "Green" Classic Sheet that has all the same information, but is slicker (and both use no house rules). In new rules content we've got an article on how Skillchips work and how to pirate them, as well as a full revamp of the task resolution system from CP2020 to a 2d10 based system . Finally, we have two newTRIBES corporations for you to get a first look at - Spectacular Optics and Four Rivers SG .

Files, History & Combat

Mar 8, 2007

We started off this week by adding a new section to the Project for the storage of various PDFs and game aids - the Files Archive. In the File Archive we have our hot new 2007 CPunk Character Folders (in xls and pdf), and the old BlackHammer Armour List PDF . In the Rules section, we ported over the updated version of the Grimm's CyberTales Humanity Loss system - Change For The Machines . In the Combat section we have revised rules for Autofire and Suppressive fire , as well as our updated hit location tables and rules for called shots . Finally, in the JackAttack Archive, we have three pieces of the newTRIBES future history: A Bacterial New World , The NeoCorn Crisis and Filthy Lucre .

Guns, Guns, Guns

Mar 1, 2007

A bunch of gun-related articles up this week to start the second month of the New BlackHammer Project. We start with a set of three 2.3mm needleguns - two pistols and a machine pistol, along with the rules for needlegun ammunition. As a complement to this article, we also have a pair of the highest-end 3mm needleguns - a subgun and an eletrothermal assassination weapon. Finally, we have the Arcadia Machine & Tool AMT 1159 series of heavy handguns. Also, in the Zones section , we have the return of MachineGuns of Loving Grace , the classic gunshop for custom firearms that is reinventing itself as the classiest place in town to get a firearm custom made. And of course, MachineGuns of Loving Grace has the Traveller line of rifles to build these guns from.

Five February Articles

Feb 26, 2007

The first wave of five new articles is up on the site now. First we have two extensions to the lifepath system in the Rules area - More Good Luck and More Bad Luck . Then we have a pair of articles on new firearms - the Ingram Model 99 Series of 11.5mm caseless subguns; and the Muramasa 2 , a big bad boy that I adapted from the Datafortress. Finally, to make all your guns that much sweeter, I added our house rules for Smartlinking your gun , along with rules for the Shadowlink, in the Toys section.

Banner Ads!?!

Feb 25, 2007

I've added banner ads to the site design. Well, I just republished the banner ads module now that I have some ads to put up. But were not talking the annoying popups and banners from the old BlackHammer Project - instead these are ads for other CyberPunk sites and resources. So if you have a site you want to promote through the BlackHammer Project, drop me a line and we'll put a banner up for you.

Polymer C-SWAT Heaven

Feb 24, 2007

I've finally brought back two of the classic sub-sites of the BlackHammer Project. Check out the side-bar links to get to Polymer Heaven, your plastic pistol playland, and C-SWAT 2020, our website dedicated to the C-SWAT teams of Night City.

The New BlackHammer Project

Feb 22, 2007

Well, it's up finally. The new incarnation of the Classic BlackHammer CyberPunk Project. After 19 years of playing CyberPunk, and nearly 6 years of semi-retirement for the project website, I figured it was time to get back into the swing of things. Right now the site is basically a shell - I'll finish off the graphic design to get the site looking somewhat like the classic site, and then I'll start with the articles. Nice to be back, Choombas.
